The Social Golf Australia (SGA) Tour is an amateur golf tour played on some of the best courses in Western Australia and offers the opportunity to play golf in a social and competitive setting. Anyone can play on the Tour and simply pay as you play in as many events as you like. Non-handicapped or social players can enter the events and enjoy a game with friends and they are eligible to win the Novelty events. Players with handicaps can pay the $10 comp fee to compete for the great prizes we have on offer at each event. If you are already a member of a golf club, the Tour can provide you with variety of other exciting courses to play in competitions for great prizes.

For golfers who play regularly on The Tour, we also offer the option of annual SGA Tour Memberships. Members earn Order of Merit points and are eligible to win our trophy events - the Order of Merit; the 4BBB Championship and The Tour Championship. It is not expensive to join the Tour and being a member has a lot of great benefits. Whether you are learning the game, a member of a club, don't have a handicap, or are just an enthusiastic golfer simply wanting to expand your social circle, the SGA Tour is a place where you can come and enjoy the game with like-minded people. The Tour Championship

The Tour Championship is the final event of the year and played on a deluxe golf course and is the premier annual trophy event on The SGA Tour. It is intended to be a celebration of the golfing year and all golfers are welcome join the fun. The day features a presentation dinner after golf where all our major awards for the year are presented to the winners. See the Tour Championship web page for more information.

The Order of Merit

The SGA Tour Order of Merit (OOM) is the annual award for the best, most committed and most consistent Tour player of the year. At the end of the year, the OOM winner is presented with the OOM Perpetual Trophy and prizes at the final event of the Tour season. The guiding principle for the OOM is to reward regular attendance and consistent performance in Tour events throughout the year. The point scoring format has been calibrated to reflect this and to foster a close race for the OOM title. Players receive entry points for each event they enter and the top 15 placing-getters at each event score placing points (15 for first, 14 for second, etc). Furthermore, only the top seven performances (placing points) by a player count towards their final points tally.

The Four Ball Better Ball (4BBB) Championship

The SGA Tour Four Ball Better Ball (4BBB) Championship is an award for best cumulative score by individuals in the four events each year where we play 4BBB. These events are our Mini-Majors for the year as they carry extra importance. Firstly there are double the number of Order of Merit (OOM) points to be won as the 4BBB pairs each win the same points as we run OOM points down to 20th place, so 40 players can receive placing points as opposed to usual 20 per event. For more info, see the 4BBB Championship page.
