For the 2023 tournament, we have once again chosen the Mantra Legends Hotel as our home base for the event, with entrants getting an SGA-established price for the week.

Arrival on The Gold Coast

Upon arrival at the glittering Gold Coast, you'll transfer to your home base for the week, the Mantra Legends Hotel. Featuring 4-star rooms, the hotel is right in the heart of the action, and provides everything you need for a fun and relaxing stay.

OPTIONAL WARM-UP ROUND - SUNDAY

Lakelands Golf Course

Today features an optional (and fun) Team Ambrose Golf Day, where you can warm-up for the week in a jovial and relaxing atmosphere. The wonderful Lakelands Golf Course has forged a deserved reputation as one of Australia's very best golf courses, and was the first signature designed course in Australia by golfing legend Jack Nicklaus. Lakelands is often described as a thinking player's course with a unique Nicklaus flavour to the design.

WELCOME DINNER

Your tournament week begins with a fully-catered Welcome Party at The Mantra. Meet your fellow golfers, say G'day to the SGA Staff and Hosts, and enjoy tasty food and beverages. The evening also includes the awarding of last year's winners' Championship Shirts, as well as any Milestone awards for long-term players.

RACV Royal Pines Resort

Your Gold Coast Golf Week begins at a RACV Royal Pines Resort, which has been recognised as a premier golf destination for over a decade. With undulating terrain, magnificent greens and tight fairways that demand respect, RACV Royal Pines is a great golf experience for players of all standards. With 27 Championship holes of golf, the facility features three distinct course combinations and three unique golfing experiences.

Sanctuary Cove - The Palms

The Palms Golf Course is considered a championship course rivalling some of the best golf courses in Australia, now ranked in Australian Golf Digest's Top 50 golf courses. It is a return to the traditions of the game, with distinctive holes, deep greenside bunkers and boldly contoured greens requiring creative shot making. The Palms is designed to challenge players of all abilities. In the Australian Golf Digest's Top 100 Australian Golf Course rankings.

You can choose to take this day for a well-earned rest, OR tee it up on one of Australia's best courses!

Designed by Greg Norman, Brookwater Golf and Country Club has been voted as Queensland’s number one golf course. The course features undulating greens, natural water features, and long, narrow fairways. The strategic design makes it the perfect environment for golfers of any skill level to enjoy a day of premium golf. Brookwater Golf & Country Club is undeniably the most spectacular golf facility in Queensland set to challenge and delight all golf enthusiasts.

ROUND 3. THURSDAY

The Glades

Today, you'll tee it up on The Glades, regarded by many as the finest golf course on the Gold Coast. Designed by Greg Norman, the 6420m Championship layout opened in 1999 and rapidly developed a reputation as the best golf course on the Gold Coast. The facility features superb playing surfaces with unique “Creeping bent grass” greens that ensure a superior putting surface all year round. The Glades is on 65 hectares of land with a total of 98 bunkers. Norman not only had a vision to create a challenging golf course on the Gold Coast, but he also retained 9 hectares of wetland area to create a natural wildlife sanctuary within the course.

The day also features our fun (and optional) Round 3 Fancy Dress Day, where you can "Go Bold" with your day's attire!

Palmer Gold Coast (Robina Woods)

Your golf week finishes at Palmer Gold Coast (Robina Woods). Carved out of 65 hectares of native woodlands, with fairways lined by towering gum trees, Palmer Gold Coast has rapidly developed a reputation as one of Queensland’s best-loved resort courses. Consistently ranked in the top 30 resort courses in the country, Palmer Gold Coast is a 6078 meter, 18-hole, Par 71 championship golf course designed by the Marsh / Watson team. A natural water-course featuring lakes, ponds, creeks and native wildlife completes a rare golf course environment.

Awards Dinner and Presentation

Friday evening, you'll enjoy a massive night, as we wrap-up the week at the Presentation Ceremony and Closing Dinner. Share your week's memories with your old (and new) golfing mates as you enjoy a full sit-down dinner, complete with Beer/Wine/Drinks, live music and the all-important Awards, where we crown the 2023 Individual and Team champions. Event entry is structured so that the golf event package is separate from the accommodation booking. This allows entrants flexibility and choice...you can choose the accommodation option that suits you.

Mantra Group - Hotels and Apartments

The SGA Championships features the Mantra Legends Hotel as our home base for the week. The hotel, featuring 4-star rooms, is right in the heart of the action, and provides everything you need for a fun and relaxing stay.

Golfers can choose to make their own accommodation arrangements for the event, however, staying at The Mantra will be a significant advantage for a range of reasons:

Transfers to and from the golf courses will all be from The Mantra.
The prices offered by Mantra is great value and discounted on peak rates.
Most of our event participants will be at the property, so it will be far more social for our golfers.
