2026 SGA Tasman Classic a blast at Barnbougle

2026 SGA Tasman Classic a blast at Barnbougle
Spectacular weather and a stunning golf resort greeted a full field of golfers at the 2026 SGA Tasman Classic. With plenty of sunshine and little-to-no wind for most of the weekend, it was a perfect golf escape, and a bucket-list ticked-off for many.
Friday - R1 - Bougle Run
A simply stunning day in Tasmania for Day 1 of the 2026 SGA Tasman Classic. A booked-out field of 47 golfers from across Australia descended upon Barnbougle for R1 of the event, which teed off at the 14-hole short course, Bougle Run. And though it is a short course, it was anything but easy, with tricky approaches, sloped greens and elevation changes. But it was most definitely a LOT of a fun.
Special note goes to David Gamer, with a HOLE-IN-ONE on the par-3 3rd hole, which garnered plenty of shouts (including at the bar)
After Round, 1, the Leaderboards began to take shape, with the unique Order of Merit points system ranking players throughout the weekend based on their placings for each round.

Saturday - R2 - Barnbougle Dunes
Round 2 of the 2026 SGA Tasman Classic had more of the glorious weather - with the course bathed in sunshine. The day was a corker at Barnbougle Dunes, and the players were smiling ear to ear. The course proved why it is considered one of the world's best golf layouts, with stunning views, challenging risk-reward options, and amazing conditioning throughout. An absolute treat.

Sunday - R3 - Lost Farm
An overcast but warm morning greeted players on Sunday for R3 at Lost Farm. With 20 holes, and wide-open fairways, the course was a stark contrast to the rugged Barnbougle Dunes from Round 2. Though the views, conditioning and challenge were all still evident! And while the final few groups saw a bit of drizzle in the afternoon, the real rain stayed away.
Thus, once again, the SGA Tasman Classic featured marvelous golf weather and heaps of fun throughout the weekend.
