YOUR ITINERARY: 2026 SGA Queenstown Golf Week

Located in the heart of Queenstown, Crowne Plaza offers stunning panoramic views of The Remarkables mountain range and Lake Wakatipu, New Zealand's longest lake. The hotel is just across the road from Steamer Wharf, providing easy access to dining, bars, and entertainment, as well as cruises on the TSS Earnslaw Vintage Steamship.

The Hotel provides a range of excellent facilities, including valet parking, a business centre, fully equipped fitness centre, guest laundry and 24-hour room service.

Sunday Evening, 7:00pm

Welcome Dinner - Crowne Plaza (Overlooking Lake Wakatipu)

Sunday Evening enjoy a Welcome Buffet Dinner with your fellow travellers (and their non-golfing partners) in a private room at Crowne Plaze, as you take in the views of Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu.

Round 1 - Monday. 10:00am Tee

Millbrook Resort (Coronet Course)

Set in a natural, alpine amphitheatre, the Millbrook Resort course (Home of the New Zealand Open) is one of the most impressive international golf arenas in the world. Featuring impeccably groomed fairways and greens, demanding hazards and meandering water courses, surrounded by the alpine backdrop of the Remarkables Mountain Range, golf at Millbrook Resort is an exhilarating experience. The 18-hole, par 72 championship course was designed by renowned professional and master golfer, Sir Bob Charles, and features four different tee positions for complete enjoyment at all levels of playing expertise.

Round 2 - Tuesday. 8:20am Tee

Millbrook Resort (Remarkables Course)

Meandering between tarn-like ponds with spectacular 360-degree vistas of Millbrook, the Remarkables and Arrow nines have combined to form Remarkables 18, providing a truly memorable golfing challenge. Fast and true greens, fine turf quality and a stunning alpine setting combine to provide the golfing experience for which Millbrook is renowned. With the Crown Range and Arrow river valley providing mesmerising backdrops, focusing on the golf can be quite the test.

Round 3 - Thursday. 10:10am Tee

Jack's Point

Set within a 3,000 acre nature preserve on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, Jack's Point is an 18-hole par-72 golf course bounded by the Remarkables Mountain Range and Lake Wakatipu. It traverses through wetland to the Lake edge encountering steep bluffs, indigenous vegetation and wildlife. It is designed to work with nature, not against it. Fairways are designed with minimal excavation and careful plantings to complement the natural environment, but also to give the golfer a fighting chance.

Round 4 - Friday. 8:30am Tee

Queenstown Golf Club

Queenstown Golf Club at Kelvin Heights was recently voted New Zealand’s most scenic golf course and is internationally regarded as one of the World’s most picturesque. It is set in the amphitheatre of the famous Remarkable Mountain Range and surrounded by the pristine waters of Lake Wakatipu. The Course is ‘truly awesome’, offering not only a course that will test your skill but provides a golfing experience you will never forget. Queenstown Golf Club provides a unique challenge with undulating fairways framed by well-established Pine trees. The signature 5th hole playing across the Lake is one of New Zealand’s finest and most photographed.

Presentation and Farewell Lunch

Following Golf on Friday, enjoy a presentation ceremony and farewell lunch at the Queenstown Golf Club, where you will share laughs, stories of the week and a few beverages with your new golfing friends.

2026 SGA Championships Itinerary

Following our largest-ever Champs in 2025, The 2026 event will ONCE AGAIN have SPLIT-FIELDS, meaning there will be:
TWO courses in action each day
DOUBLE the daily prizes
FASTER rounds each day

Regarded as a must-play event on most clubs’ Social Golf calendars, the SGA Championships sees golfers and social clubs from across Australia converge upon the Gold Coast for a week of spectacular golf, energetic competition and, most importantly, a ton of fun.

ARRIVAL

Arrival and Check-in at The Gold Coast

Upon arrival at the glittering Gold Coast, you'll transfer to your home base for the week, the Mantra Legends Hotel. Featuring 4-star rooms, the hotel is right in the heart of the action, and provides everything you need for a fun and relaxing stay.

You'll then check-in for the tournament, where you will meet our friendly staff and receive your player Welcome Pack, which includes a tournament polo & hat, cooler bag, golf balls, bag tag, the week's program and more fun goodies.

"It was a great experience, especially as a first-timer. Great people, very relaxed and inclusive atmosphere, and fantastic golf. Just what I hoped for.”

David

Sunday - Optional - Ambrose Day

Palmer Gold Coast (Robina Woods)

The week begins with an optional (and fun) Team Ambrose Golf Day, where you can warm-up for the week in a jovial and relaxing atmosphere.  Carved out of 65 hectares of native woodlands, with fairways lined by towering gum trees, Palmer Gold Coast has rapidly developed a reputation as one of Queensland’s best-loved resort courses. Consistently ranked in the top 30 resort courses in the country, Palmer Gold Coast is a 6078 meter, 18-hole, Par 71 championship golf course designed by the Marsh / Watson team. A natural water-course featuring lakes, ponds, creeks and native wildlife completes a rare golf course environment.

(Note: MAXIMUM of 72 spots available for the Ambrose Warm-up Day)

SUNDAY EVENING

WELCOME DINNER

Your tournament week begins with a fully-catered Welcome Party at The Mantra. Meet your fellow golfers, say G'day to the SGA Staff and Hosts, and enjoy tasty food and beverages. The evening also includes the awarding of last year's winners' Championship Shirts, as well as any Milestone awards for long-term players.

"I can't believe how good the event is for the price. We got great service from all the staff and always with a smile. My clubs are always waiting for me at each course and I get to play with someone different each round."

Steve

Round 1 & 2 (Monday & Tuesday) SPLIT FIELD

Links Hope Island

Designed by five-times British Open Champion, Peter Thomson and home to Australian golfing royalty, Peter Senior, Links Hope Island is a must-play on any visit to the region. The course regularly rates among the finest resort courses in the country. When you play at Links, you'll be met with a real sense of welcome and warmth from the time you arrive.

Round 1 & 2 (Monday & Tuesday) SPLIT FIELD

Lakelands

Since opening in February 1997, the wonderful Lakelands golf course has forged a deserved reputation as one of Australia's very best golf courses. Situated in the heart of the Gold Coast adjacent to the luxurious Radisson Resort and next door to Palm Meadows, Lakelands was the first signature designed course in Australia by golfing legend Jack Nicklaus. Lakelands is often described as a thinking player's course with a unique Nicklaus flavour to the design.

"Fantastic event, very welcoming to overseas players. Very well organized with lovely challenging courses to play."

Karen

Round 3 & 4 (Thurs & Friday) SPLIT FIELD

Palm Meadows

Palm Meadows was the first golf resort course on the Gold Coast, and pioneered the Australian resort golfing boom. The challenging 350-hectare par 72 course was designed by renowned course-designer Graham Marsh. It measures 6319 metres off the championship tees and the opening and closing holes are rated among the greatest in Australian golf. Water comes into play on 14 holes and there are 82 sand bunkers around the course.

Round 3 & 4 (Thurs & Friday) SPLIT FIELD

RACV Royal Pines Resort - Green & Gold

RACV Royal Pines Resort has been recognised as a premier golf destination for over a decade. With undulating terrain, magnificent greens and tight fairways that demand respect, RACV Royal Pines is a great golf experience for players of all standards. With 27 Championship holes of golf, the facility features three distinct course combinations and three unique golfing experiences.

“This was my first time and was extremely impressed with the organisation and overall management. Was also great value for money.”

Paul

FRIDAY Evening

Awards Dinner and Presentation

Friday evening, you'll enjoy a massive night, as we wrap-up the week at the Presentation Ceremony and Closing Dinner. Share your week's memories with your old (and new) golfing mates as you enjoy a full sit-down dinner, complete with Beer/Wine/Drinks, live music and the all-important Awards, where we crown the Individual and Team champions. Our event will again feature great prizes totaling over $50,000, including Srixon, Garmin and MGI golf products, vouchers from The Card Network and Drummond Golf, and SGA Shiraz from Heathcote Winery. The evening also includes our highly-anticipated prize draw, where one player will win free entry to one of our events (including airfares) valued at over $2500.
